Born January 10, 1870, in Melrose to Orris (or Orace) Allen of Braintree and Mary A. Faxon Allen, origninally of Quincy.  She was graduated with a class of 24 students from Braintree High School in 1888 and gave a musical performance as part of the graduation program.
