1	Theron Irving	Cain			Born in Braintree, MA on December 16, 1893, the youngest son of Daniel and Ellen (Besse) Cain. He graduated from Braintree High School and the Massachusetts Normal Art School (now Massachusetts College of Art) in Boston (1916) before going to work for landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead. He later returned to Braintree and became an art teacher at the Massachusetts College of Art (1921-1957).
