Mary A.(Buglio), 99,
of Braintree, died Friday, October 12, 2007 at home, beloved wife
of the late Arcangelo Fasano. Loving mother of Ralph Fasano and
his wife Corinne, Marta Googins and her husband Roy all of Braintree.
Vincent Fasano and his wife Alice of Moorestown, NJ., Robert Fasano
and his wife Cheryl of Hull and the late Dolores Olson. Mother-in-law
of the late Donna Fasano. Also survived by 20 devoted grandchildren,
32 great-grandchildren, and many wonderful friends and care givers.
Born in Natick, RI, she has been a resident of Braintree for the
past 67 years. Mary owned and operated Fasano's Diner and Catering
with her family. She was a graduate of Braintree High School, Class
of 1979 at age 71, and then graduated from Harvard University Class
of 1997 at the age of 89. She is still the oldest graduate of Harvard.
The legacy she is leaving to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren
was a statement made at the Class speaker at her Harvard Graduation. "To
have knowledge is to have power". She was also a member of the Ladies
Lodge Sons of Italy of Braintree. Funeral from the McMaster Funeral
Home, 86 Franklin St., (Rte. 37), Braintree, Tuesday, October 16,
at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Francis of Assisi
Church, So. Braintree Square at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends
are respectfully invited to visit the funeral home, Monday 4-8 p.m.
Interment Blue Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family sincerely
request donations in her name may be made to The Mary A. Fasano Scholarship,
c/o of Braintree High School, Permanent Scholarship, 128 Town St.,
