Joan Beaudoin

Born to Joan Elizabeth Coyle and Nicholas Beaudoin, I spent my childhood in a suburb south of Boston called Braintree. The town was named after the British village by this same name in 1640. As an aside, I have often wondered if the town in Braintree, England was named after the truly bizarre tree called the Osage Orange which grows large yellowish "fruit" resembling, yes, brains. Think I am kidding? Take a look at this image. (From: http://www.pages.drexel.edu/~jeb56/background.html)
